    October 17, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM @ Desert Foothills Library

    Learn how to code using SCRATCH and Java software. Everyone learns at their own pace with online tutorials. Bring your own earbuds. Parental sign-up is required at first session. You must be able to read at a 3rd grade level, or work with a parent. No experience necessary.

  3. Taste of Cave Creek

    October 18, 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM @ Stagecoach Village

    Are you ready to eat, drink and be merry? If so, mark your calendar for October 18 & 19 when Cave Creek offers its signature Taste of Cave Creek event. For 24 years, the town has offered this event as a chance for residents to mingle with neighbors and for everyone to sample the amazing fare offered from local restaurants and bars. The event is so widely popular that this year’s attendance is expected to reach over 8,000 in the two day span. The event is held at Stagecoach Village. Entry tickets are $10 (free for children 12 & under) and food tickets are $3-$5. Parking is at Cave Creek and School House roads, where a free shuttle will then take you to the venue. If there is one thing that Cave Creek can’t get enough of, it is good food and good times! Marshal Adam Stein will again be heading up the ever so popular Taste of Cave Creek.

  11. Composers in Concert

    October 21, 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM @ Christ Anglican Church in Carefree

    Christ Church Composers Guild presents a “Composers in Concert” event to benefit the Jubilate Music Program on Saturday, October 21, from 3 - 5:30 p.m., at the Christ Anglican Church in Carefree, 35500 N. Cave Creek Road in Carefree. The classical music performance will feature young Arizona composers, including composers from the “Composer and Composition” program series conducted by Instructor Bethany Brown, Manager of Education, Youth, and Community Programs for Arizona Musicfest. The first half of the concert will include children’s compositions from youth instrumentalists and singers, as well as a string quartet piece. Following intermission, the second half of the concert will include different styles of music written by adult composers. A string quartet written by Bethany Brown will be among those works.
