The Public Works Department is responsible for maintenance within Town property including dedicated streets and sewer lines.  The maintenance includes maintenance of paved roadways, grading and dust control on unpaved roadways, sewer line and manhole maintenance, median and landscape maintenance and sign maintenance.  Currently, we have been mandated by Town Council to apply a double chip seal on five miles of roadway a year.  This mandate over the longer period will reduce our cost on road maintenance and will further bring the Town into compliance with EPA’s PM-10 dust control standards.
