AGP-20-02 Amend the General Plan - Paul J. Sharpe

Request:  To amend the Land Use Map contained within the Town Core Specific Area Plan for parcel 216-07-008  by changing the current Land Use designation of "Desert Rural" to "Commercial Use."  The subject property, approximately 5.54 acres, is located north of the Roadhouse Bar, east of Petite Acres and south of Galloway Wash (Desert Awareness Park).

A public hearing will be held before the Town of Cave Creek Planning Commission on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 7 p.m. to consider the request to amend the Land Use Map contained within the Town Core Specific Area Plan for parcel 216-07-008 by changing the current Land Use designation of "Desert Rural" to "Commercial Use".


Due to the current health emergency, the meeting will be conducted via Zoom conferencing, unless otherwise noted on the Agenda.  Instructions on how to view and/or participate via the Zoom platform are included in the agenda packet.

At the August 20, 2020 meeting, the Planning Commission voted 5-0 to Recommend Approval of the request to amend the Land Use Map contained within the Town Core Specific Area Plan for parcel 216-07-008 by changing the current Land Use designation of "Desert Rural" to "Commercial Use".

 The Town Council  at its regularly scheduled meeting held Monday, October 19, 2020, by a vote of 5 – 2 adopted Resolution No. R2020-26 a resolution of the Mayor and Town Council of the Town of Cave Creek Arizona adopting a General Plan – Town Core Plan Land Use Map Amendment for Assessor Parcel Number 216-07-008, approximately 5.54 acres, from an existing land use of Desert Rural to a Commercial Land Use.
